About Us

Hello!
My name is CaMee Nichols, and this is my husband Travis. I founded Yellowstone Doodles in 2018, although our breeding journey began clear back in 2008 with English Mastiffs. What started as my hobby has turned into a full-on family affair, and now, spread across the country!
We have three locations, Lovell Wyoming, Helena Montana, and most recently, Adams Massachusetts.
Lovell, Wyoming - Home Base
Our family is proud to call a 175 acre, fourth-generation farm in Lovell, Wymoing the heart of Yellowstone Doodles. The Farm has always been the foundation of our operation, allowing us to raise dogs the way we belive they should be raised - with plenty of room to run, individualized care, and people who know every dog by name.
Unlike many breeding programs, we do not solely rely on guardian homes. Almost every one of our breeding dogs lives as part of our lives, allowing us to know them intimately. Because they remain in our daily care, we personally oversee their health, veterinary care, grooming, nutrition, training, and emotional well being. We believe this hands on approach allows us to make the best decisions for both our dogs and the families who welcome their puppies home.
Our farm provides spacious, dog-park-sized exercise areas, climate controlled housing, and enrichment designed to keep every dog physically healthy and mentally fulfilled. They aren't simply cared for- they are truly part of the family.
Day to day care is lovingly managed by Brent and Darlene, who live on the farm and ensure every dog receives exceptional attention each day. Mykelle is also actively involved, making frequent trips to the farm and working closely with every aspect of the breeding program to maintain the standards Yellowstone Doodles is known for.

Helena, Montana - The Mountain Retreat
Nestled in the mountains of Helena, Montana, our Montana location offers puppies the opportunity to grow up in a true family environment. Mykelle, Jentry, and their four girls love getting to raise the puppies! To ensure every puppy receives the individual attention they deserve we intentionally keep no more than two litters at a time.
From the very beginning, our puppies are immersed in everyday family life. They are lovingly handled by the four girls (ages 6 and under), introduced to children of all ages, and exposed to the sights and sounds of a busy home. This early socialization helps build the confident, adaptable temperaments Yellowstone Doodles is known for.
Before joining their forever families, each puppy begins crate training, potty training, and foundational routines that make the transition home as smooth as possible. Every puppy also leaves with a vet check, first vaccinations and a two- year genetic health guarantee, giving families confidence in both their puppy's health and the program behind them.
Whether you're local to Montana or traveling to meet your future companion, we'd love to welcome you to the Mountain Retreat to meet us, and the puppies, in person!

Jentry, Mykelle & the Girls
Lanesborough Massachusetts -
The New England Bernedoodle Nest
Yellowstone Doodles has always been about one simple mission: sharing the dogs we love with families who will love them just as much.
When my husband, Travis, was relocated to western Massachusetts for work, it felt only natural to bring a piece of Yellowstone Doodles with us. The New England Bernedoodle Nest allows us to provide the same yellowstone Doodles experience to families throughout the Northeast - without the cross-country trip.
So, what is the Yellowstone Doodle Experience?
- Puppy monday's! New photos and pictures of the puppies weekly.
- Early crate and potty training
- Extensive genetic health testing
- A two year genetic health guarantee
- Ongoing support from our family long after your puppy goes home
Whether you live in massachusetts or anywhere throughout New Engalnd, our bernedoodle Nest brings the Yellowstone Doodle Experience closer to home while maintaining the same commitment to exceptional health, temperament, transparency, genetics, and lifelong support that has defined our program from the beginning.

OUR BEGINNING
We really like Yellowstone at our house, and because we're decently close, we've always called our Kennel that. Our name, Yellowstone Doodles, actually morphed from our previous name, Yellowstone Mastiffs. It has become sort of a hobby to provide other families with the same dogs we have come to know and love!
Yellowstone Mastiffs came into existence when my little boy Porter decided he wanted a “Mudge dog” after reading the iconic Henry and Mudge books.
We got our English Mastiff puppy, Tessy, and loved her to pieces. Pretty soon we also got us a Mudge dog named Aslan, and puppies followed suit. Thus, Yellowstone Mastiffs.
In 2016, after a long fun life on the farm, and with just as many adventures as Henry and Mudge, our beloved Aslan passed away. A year later we decided we needed a new fluffy friend. This go around we decided to do a little more research on dog breeds.
See, we have this problem. Our family LOVES animals… but my husband is severely allergic to any animal with fur. So consequentially, every time someone in our family so much as pet one of the dogs, a change of clothes and shower were required before they were allowed to join life in the house again.
As much as we loved our mastiffs we were leaning towards a more hypoallergenic dog. Let’s be honest, a shower EVERY time you touch a dog gets old really quick.
Well, somewhere in our research we stumbled upon the Goldendoodle. I fell in love with them. A golden retriever -- with all the awesome Golden Retriever characteristics and look-- and a Poodle -- which gives the dog hair instead of fur -- would keep my husband allergies in check and be absolutely perfect!
And she has been.

This is Izzy, our F2 Goldendoodle. She is everything our family has ever wanted in a pet!
Well, old habits die hard, and puppies are too dang cute.
Two years ago we decided to add more dogs to the family and provide individuals and families like you with the perfect fluffy companion!
We realize Goldendoodles might not be perfect for everyone, so we also have Bernedoodles, and Aussiedoodles to offer! Each of these dog breeds have their own beautiful personalities that suit the different needs of different people. We encourage you to go to their individual pages to learn more about them, and would love to answer any questions you have!
